**BOARDING UPDATE**

We have decided to adapt our boarding program to be EXCLUSIVELY available to our clients only. This means we are currently not looking at taking on new boarding clients for 2025.

Boarding

Our Boarding Experience

The Canine Hub is proud to offer an in home, structured boarding program. This means that your dog will stay with us in our home but have their own separate space within that to allow them to decompress, and relax without the stressors of the rest of the house.

In order to provide your dogs with the best care The Canine Hub takes on a maximum of 5 boarding dogs at a time.

While staying with us your dog will have access to various forms of exercise depending on their needs. With a large private property we can discuss what works best for your dog's stay - maybe its off leash pack hikes with my personal dogs or by themselves around the property? Maybe its throwing the ball or disc a few times a day? Maybe its a quiet private leashed walk? It's all possible and I am happy to accommodate your dogs needs. (Please be advised that your dog will only be allowed to be off leash with a reliable, tested recall).

Inside the house, our requirement is that your dog is crate trained.

For our booking process we encourage you to reach out to us with any follow up questions you might have. If you are interested in making a booking, we can set up a Meet and Greet session where we can meet your dog, and go over their boarding requirements and see if it might be a good fit! From there we require a Trial Night prior to your dogs stay with us. This is to just ensure we are the right fit for them and they are the right fit for us!

Price List

These are base rates and are subject to change, depending on the dog. All new clients required to book a trial 24 hour stay prior to their board with us ($75). The Canine Hub charges per day, not per night, which means that each calendar date listed will be charged the day rate regardless of pick up/drop off times.

A dog that is over 6 months of age.

Holiday/Puppy Rate

$80/day

A dog that is under 6 months of age. Our holiday rate applies for all BC stat holidays and associate weekends, as well as our dedicated winter break.

Additional Dog

$60/day

This rate is for additional dogs from the same household. Additional dogs on holiday dates are charged the full holiday rate.

Trial Night

$75/trial

This rate is for one additional adult dog, for a 24 hour period (Typically 9am-9am). Please contact us if you would like to book more than 2 dogs in at one time.

Please note that all dogs staying at The Canine Hub must first be approved by one of the owners, Florence Jarrett or Kyle Hubicka, and have completed the application process.

Pick up / Drop off Times

Drop Offs: Please drop off your dog(s) between 8am - 9am. This ensures that we can start your dogs stay with a hike! We find that dogs who arrive later in the day have a harder time to settle that those dropped off in the morning.

Pick Ups: Please arrange for pick up between 3pm - 5pm.

Alternate times can be arranged upon request.

Typical Process of Boarding with Us

Boarding Application:

We receive your boarding application, with tells us about your dog(s) and their needs.

Meet + Greet:

We setup a Meet and Greet, where you and your dog(s) would join us on our property for a short walk where we can go through what our boarding program would look like for you. After, we would setup a date for your Trial Night.

Trial Night:

We require a copy of your dog(s) updated vaccinations. The Trial Night is a 24 Hour period, typically from 9am-9am the following day. This would be a trial to see how your dog(s) would do away from you, as well as, being around other dogs, general listening, settling in a crate, and sleeping through the night. This Trial Night is also conducted with either yourself or another contact available should your dog(s) be struggling too much and need to be picked up.

Boarding:

After all is said and done, and everyone is happy with how the Trial Night went, we would move into booking future boarding dates.

Therefore, we require a minimum of 7 days notice of a cancellation for any stay longer than 1 night (2 days). If less then 7 days notice is given, a $150/dog cancellation fee will be applied. This is because with less time we are usually unable to fill your dog's spot.
